Coaxial breathing circuits consists of a small diameter tube, going inside through a larger diameter tube, sharing the same axis. While clean air is delivered to the patient via the inner, small diameter tube, the space between the inner tube and exterior large diameter tube is used for the movement of the exhaled air. This allows heat exchanging between inspirium and expirium. This also results in lower condensation and reduces the need for heating / cooling the air. These sets are generally used in adult patients and during surgical procedures. They can also be customized with additional accesories to meet the exact requirements of heath professionals.
